Program Details

Art and inspiration for all.

The San Diego Museum of Art Community Engagement and Education Department is the hub of artistic inquiry for visitors, students, and families at the Museum. Working alongside our curators and collection experts, our brilliant art educators deepen the connections between incredible works of art and the patrons of every age and ability who walk through our doors.

SDMA is the San Diego region's largest and most-visited art museum. As our collection and attendance have grown, Community Engagement and Education programs have grown with us, faster than at any point in the Museum's history: from serving 19,500 attendees in 2024, to 46,266 last year, to more than 68,100 in 2026.

Expansive and flourishing program offerings require expanded support to deliver excellent arts education to our community on a consistent basis. Your gift this year does just that: you provide The San Diego Museum of Art with the financial stability to continue to reach more people in creative ways. Your gift is unrestricted, helping SDMA meet its greatest needs in these programs and beyond.
